Hey Lady Fans

Super busy today, so this is going to be quick.

(WHOA! Holy smokes!! I forgot the lyrics to that Ill Mitch rap were about the tickle train, so while you are welcome to check out Ill Mitch (and yes he is a rap genius), there is ABSOLUTELY NO connection to his lyrics with my props for my female teammates. I should probably screen these links better. Wow!) Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled program…

Our team is competing up in Boston this coming weekend. We have one young lady (woman) competing for the first time, and I know she is going to kill it. I’m a big fan, because she shows up to work every class. Good luck! Enjoy the experience. I’d tell you to relax, but the nerves are part of the show. Just thinking about it brings them back for me.  They are good nerves though. The kind that heighten your senses, and put you in the right mindset to battle.

To the rest of my teammates, go show them what WCJJ is all about. Smash them takedowns and get your 2. Unfortunately my back is still tweaked, so I won’t be competing. It is very annoying. I go see the Doc soon, so hopefully it gets sorted out. It actually feels pretty good, but the MRI shows things need a tune up. Spinal. Part of being 43. Meh.

Finally, if you live in Southeastern CT, go see some awesome young ladies wrestle on March 5. Details are here and here. This is what it is all about, and I know first hand these coaches and volunteers selflessly give of themselves to make it happen.

I told you this would be short, like me. Be well and keep on truckin’.

Oh sorry, one final PSA…

Wash yo Gi, yo pits, and yo nasty bits. Keep us all fresh n’ def.
